Summer Day Camp
This is a reminder that May 5 was the requested deadline for Summer Day Camp (SDC) registrations.  If you plan to come attend SDC AT ALL this summer, even if you are not sure which days or weeks, please go ahead and register your camper(s) ASAP.  We will order just as many t-shirts as we can at once.  This will cut down on re-orders and help us to plan effectively for staffing this summer.  Registering does not commit you to attend.  However, if you are certain to attend at least one day, please take the time to register.  Once you are registered, you are free to attend SDC at any time!  We appreciate your help with this.

We are so excited for another super fun summer.  Our Week 1 Newsletter is filling in quickly with field trips and will be published on May 26th.  Huddles 2 and 3 will go to Carowinds for sure that first Tuesday AND Thursday (because we can!), so get those passes if you haven’t already!
If you have a CIT coming this summer, please note the CIT training class scheduled for Saturday, May 20 from 10 am to noon.  This important session will give your CIT the opportunity to learn about the responsibilities they will have this summer (in addition to the fun!) and will give me the opportunity to communicate our camp expectations for their time with us.  Also, CIT shirts should be ready in time to be passed out, so register your CIT today!

End of Year Exams
All EOGs and EOCs must be administered during the last 10 days of school.  It is imperative that all students be in attendance and complete these exams on the scheduled days.

Box Top Bonanza
The final Box Top Contest will start next Monday the 8th and run through the 12th. We really want to hit that $4000 goal so that we can update the sound system in the Lower Building Gym and get new PE equipment for Middle School. Here are the contest details: Beginning Monday, send in your unexpired  Box Tops and Labels in baggies. Throughout the week we will be collecting everything and counting. We will have 1 WINNING GRADE K-8, so bring on the competition! The GRADE that brings in the most Box Tops and Labels will receive a special warm weather treat!  Expired Box Tops will NOT count into the final amount, so please have your child check for them and remove them before turning in your baggie. Start getting those Box Tops ready!

High School Happenings
1:1- 9th -11th Grade Students
Students will keep their school issued computer for testing.  It is a student’s responsibility to bring it to school each day, fully charged to their testing location.  This new procedure will allow student’s to have their computer to study for future tests.

When students have completed all their tests, they will bring their computer home for the summer.  Students are responsible for taking care of the device just like they have done during the school year.  Parents should pay next year’s laptop fee on MPP.

Students are expected to bring their computer with them on the first day of school next year, August 16, 2017.

If at any time during the summer students need computer service, send an email to to schedule a time for repairs.  The email should provide details regarding the issue with the computer.  There will be associated repair costs for these repairs just as there was during the school year if it is determined the repair is required due to neglect on your part.
