Pink Out
LCS is getting ready to go PINK for our annual Pink Out fundraiser and staff vs. staff dodgeball game!  Student Leadership Team is leading Pink Out again this year and all proceeds will go to Carolina Breast Friends.   The annual staff vs. staff dodgeball game will be occurring on October 31st.

Here are the following fundraisers that will be occurring in the month of October:


  • Pink Out T-Shirts!! These will only be on sale until Wednesday, October 11th!  Visit My Payments Plus now to purchase your Pink Out T-Shirt.  You can choose which team you support by purchasing the shirt for that team. Each team will have a different color pink shirt. Cost of shirt is $12.


  • MS/HS Concessions – every Tuesday and Thursday in the month of October Student Leadership Team will be selling concessions during lunch. All proceeds on these days will go towards Pink Out so bring your $ and visit the SLT table at lunch.
  • Pie in the Face – If a teacher gets $75 donated towards their name via My Payments Plus Pink Out Donation they will get a pie in the face on Oct. 31st.  Visit My Payments Plus to donate and choose the teacher you want to get pied.

Biscuits are Back
Biscuits are back for breakfast for all students K-12!  Every Tues and Thurs biscuits will be delivered fresh to your student’s classroom by 7:30 am.  We are selling Plain Biscuits for $2.00, Cinnamon Raisin biscuits for $2.50, Sausage Biscuits for $3.00 and Bacon, Egg and Cheese Biscuits for $3.50.  Place your orders on MyPaymentsPlus by Friday at 12pm for Tuesday delivery and by Tuesday at 12 pm for Thursday delivery.  Thank you in advance for your support, all profits benefit K-5 classrooms technology needs!

After School Care on 10/19
After school care will be heading to Adventure Landing on Oct. 19, please see this link for more information and click here to sign up to go on the field trip and make your payment on  Students who choose not to go on this field trip will be supervised in the gym on this day.

Town Hall Meeting
The first LCS Town Hall Meeting of the year will be on Tuesday, November 7th at 6:00 pm in the MPR.  We hope you will join us.

Additional Bus at Cherryville Bus Stop
We are excited to announce the additional bus to our Cherryville bus stop will start on Monday, Oct 9th. If you are interested in this bus stop, please go to your student’s My Payments Plus account  and register.  The applications will be processed and the bus tag ordered. The bus roster will be updated to include your student. If you do not register your student, they may not be permitted to ride the bus. If you have any questions please contact Janet Bivens.

MS Halloween Dance Thursday, October 19th from 7-9pm
The MS Halloween Dance is getting closer! This dance is for grades 6-8; LCS students only. Tickets are available for $10 in advance through My Payments Plus up to October 19th at 3:00pm. They will be $15 at the door.  

High School Happenings
PSAT Reminders and Updates
The PSAT NMSQT and PSAT 9 will be administered on October 11, 2017 beginning promptly at 8:00am on the Denver Campus. Transportation sign up has been emailed to the students.  Please remember to bring #2 pencils, an approved calculator, your student ID number, and a snack/ water as the test administration will last about 4 hours.  Please remember, that no student may be allowed to enter a testing session late or leave a testing session early.  NO electronic devices will be allowed in the testing room.  

If a HS student is not taking the exam, then they will not report to school on test day.

PreACT… Mark your Calendars
The PreACT will be administered on November 2, 2017 to all Sophomores only beginning promptly at 8:00am.  This is a mandatory exam.
