Veterans Day Program
Friday, November 10th
This year’s program will offer every Lincoln Charter student the opportunity to interact with a Veteran.  The Program will begin with a traditional program in Machado Gymnasium for Veterans and their student host.  Following the program Veterans and students will transition to smaller sessions that will allow students to participate in a Q&A session with Veterans.  The theme of the event is All-American and will include an All-American snack for everyone!  We are encouraging staff and students to dress in Red, White and Blue (must meet HS Dress Code and be respectful of the flag).

Click here to register to host a Veteran(s).  Register by November 8th at 3:00pm.

In addition to the annual program, Lincoln Charter is partnering with the USO and Operation Phone Home to collect funds to support phone calls home during the holidays.  The goal is for every student and staff member to donate $1.00 to the program.  Funds will be collected during the event on November 10th.  This is a great way for us to honor those that are currently serving abroad.

Box Top Battle
Thank you to the MS students for their participation in the Box Tops competition the past two weeks.  As a MS we were able to collect over 3,800 Box Tops.  Unfortunately we did not reach our goal of 7,500, but the students did earn a lot of points for their Nests.

Book Adventure
For the month of November, the MS will be competing, through their Nests, in a reading competition.  Each student is challenged to read as many books as they can for the next 30 days. Upon completion of the book, the student is encouraged to take a short quiz through Book Adventure in order for it to count in the competition.  Prizes will be awarded to the top nests. Students should have received login information in their last Nest meeting.
