Driver’s Education Class (Lincolnton Students Only)
Driver’s Ed registration is open now for the class at the Lincolnton campus in March. See details below.
Dates: March 13th-March 29th (No Friday classes)
Location: Lincolnton Campus Multi-Purpose Room
Time: 3:00 – 6:00 pm
Lincoln County School Board Drivers Ed Fee: $53.00
(Check or Cash will not be accepted)
Seats: By law the class is only allowed 50 seats per class. This class is a first come first serve basis.
Your student must be able to attend each day (only 1 absence allowed) and be there for the final exam on March 29th.
To register your student for Driver’s Education Class (Lincolnton Students Only), please go onto your MyPaymentsPlus account for your student to fill out the registration form and remit payment ($53). If you do not pay at time of registration; a seat will not be reserved for your student. Payment secures your students registration and seat. Once the class is full, the fee will be removed from MyPaymentPlus. For any questions, please contact Jessica Kelly.

Get your jean pass for Thursday, February 22nd and help support the students attending the educational trip to Canada who are raising money for their travel expenses. Students will explore, learn, and experience in Montreal and Quebec. Thank you for helping to support our LCS students attending this international trip. LCS Spirit Night at the Charlotte Checkers Game 2.17.18
TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO PURCHASE TICKETS
Please join us for our first LCS Spirit Night at the Charlotte Checkers game on 2.17.18! Our LCS High School Chorus will be performing “God Bless America” and some of our students will be featured in other fun activities during the game as well as all LCS ticket holders will receive a free Checkers hat! Tickets are only $16 and can be purchased on MyPaymentsPlus.com until February 13 and $5 from each ticket comes right back to Lincoln Charter School! Women took 3rd at the NCHSAA 1A/A West Regional and 6th at the 1A/2A State Championship

Elementary/6th Grade Boys Lacrosse Club
There is a local lacrosse club looking for players in the Denver area. If you have an athlete interested in boys lacrosse, please contact Coach Butlak at email@example.com for more information. This is not a LCS program, however, it is our goal to partner with the Eagles Youth Lacrosse Club to build interest in the sport.

RAK the LCS PTO Way
This week is Random Act of Kindness Week. Take a moment to surprise someone with a random act of kindness. To get some momentum, post “DONE” on the LCS PTO Facebook page so we can enjoy the excitement. Please only post DONE. One of the best parts of a RANDOM act of kindness is the surprise of it.
Reminder to drop off items for the Staff Appreciation breakfasts on Tuesday afternoon so that the planning committee for that event can make sure all needs are covered. Thank you in advance for your support of our teachers and staff.
Your next PTO Meeting will be Monday, February 19 at 6 pm in the MS/HS building in the gymnasium. Hope to see you there.
After the nomination committee is confirmed on Feb. 19, nominations for next year’s PTO will be received electronically from Tuesday, Feb. 20 to Friday, March 2. We will also be providing opportunities to submit nominations in person.

High School Happenings
Freshman Experience – Wednesday, February 28th
All Freshman students will participate in the annual Freshman Experience at Pfeiffer University. The experience will include a tour of the campus, information from admissions as well as a team building activities. Further details will be released at the end of the week.
College Planning Parent Info Sessions
Thank you to all of the parents that attended the college planning parent info sessions. The presentation covered is now posted on our school website here.
Powderpuff is a high school event sponsored by the Student Leadership Team. Powderpuff will take place on Friday, March 30th this year. Both male and female high school students can purchase Powderpuff shirts but only females will participate in the Powderpuff Football Game. Any students interested in signing up to play need to purchase their shirt and sign the required consent form on My Payments Plus. Shirts are only available until February 28th and will cost $20. Names and numbers for shirts can be completed on My Payments Plus. More information about practices and such will be released within the upcoming weeks. If you have any questions about Powderpuff please contact Jessica Kelly.
