Homecoming 2018-2019
Lincoln Charter Homecoming is an annual K-12 tradition.  Homecoming is a week long celebration including K-12 Spirit Week, HS Pep Rally and the Homecoming Court Presentation.  The festivities end with the annual High School Homecoming Dance.

All students and staff members are encouraged to take part in the tradition of spirit week.  Spirit Week is about celebrating being a part of the Eagle Community. We look forward to alumni returning for the Homecoming games.

Yearbooks
Yearbooks for each level are on sale through Jostens now.  LCS produces three different yearbooks, and direct links to purchase yours are below.  Pricing increases December 14.

Please note that students in both Lincolnton and Denver share a combined book at each level, so there is no need to differentiate between campuses.  

Yearbook Recognition Ads
Now is the time to start gathering those photos of your “babies” young and old.  In addition to high school seniors, elementary and middle school “graduates” will have the opportunity to be featured in the ads section of their respective yearbooks this year.  Go to Jostens.com to upload pictures, enter your message, choose your layout and pay for your ad.

December 3rd- 7pm in Machado Gymnasium (HS Fall athletes only, MS Fall awards night is in May).

Holy Angels Basketball Tournament
The men’s basketball team will be playing in the Holy Angels Hoops Tournament on Saturday December 1 at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte.  

Tickets are on sale now

Tickets are good for all 4 games on Saturday, plus a Charlotte Hornets game on January 17.  Proceeds go to support the Holy Angels Program out of Belmont, NC. Come out and support your Eagles and the Holy Angels.  For more information, contact Coach Gabriel.

Happy Thanksgiving!
On this Thanksgiving and every day, we are so incredibly thankful for our volunteers. Our Engaged Eagles are the backbone of our organization and we could not be as successful without the wonderful people who are a part of Lincoln Charter School.

Holiday Parties
Reminder that the December holiday parties for elementary grades are December 19  at 1 pm. The last day before the break is a full day of school this year.

Board Change
Welcome to Stefanie Helsel as the interim Fundraising Chair and to Erika Brown as the interim Middle School/ High School VP.

Parent Involvement has a direct impact on children’s success in school. We will be looking in December to build the Nomination Committee for the 2019-2020 PTO Board. Please consider how you can be involved.

8th Grade Atlanta Field Trip Updates
Due to low registration numbers our trip is still open to students. Directions on how to sign up are below:

We will apply the fundraiser money as soon as possible. We still have around 25 books that have not been returned. Please look around at home and ask your students to search lockers to see if they have any books that they have not returned. You may bring them to the MS/HS office to turn them in.

7th Grade Camp Weaver Trip
We are happy to announce that LCS will continue our partnership with the YMCA’s Camp Weaver for the 7th Grade Overnight trip.  The trip will be April 9-10 and include a trip to UNC Chapel Hill. More information pertaining to trip specifics will be released later this week.
