Save the Date
Need something fun to do as a family this spring? Our high school theater team presents: “One Magic Kiss: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.” It is a magical retelling of the classic Snow White story with a contemporary twist. Issues like bullying and self-image are prevalent throughout the story and songs. This show has very upbeat, catchy songs, and new characters that deliver an inspiring message: that ultimately beauty is who you are and how you treat people, not how you look.

The show will be held at the Lincoln Cultural Center on Thursday, May 2nd, Friday, May 3rd, and Saturday, May 4th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be $5.

Spelling Bee Representation
Congratulations to Mallory Pajtas as she represented LCS exceptionally well at the Regional Spelling Bee!  Check it out: Photo 1, Photo 2

Athlete of the Year – World Games
Lincoln Charter’s Jennifer Thompson is up for Athlete of the Year for The Olympic World Games! Each category of the games has selected one athlete to represent its sport. Jennifer Thompson represents the powerlifting category.

The contest is based on the number of votes received from January 1-31.  We are proud of Jennifer and her determination to be the best. She is an excellent role model.  We wish her the best and encourage everyone to vote!

You can give one vote for your candidate once every 24 hours. The voting will finish on January 31st 20:00 CET.

Talon Challenge Update
Thanks again for all those who came out to support the Talon Challenge games Friday night. Here is the video from Friday Night that was played for the HS teams. The Thomas Jefferson and LCS communities have donated over $85,000 in the last ten years. LCS had 58 pints of blood donated this year. We did have some left over shirts that will be sold from the HS front office for $12.

Character Education
Mrs. Boner and Ms. Antczak have started a Character Ed Monthly Assembly Program with grades K-5. Each month the students will learn about a new character trait at the assembly, with the help of the 5th grade ambassadors.  This trait will be discussed throughout the entire month. A student from each class will be nominated through various methods to receive the “I AM” Award at the end of each month. This month the character trait is COMPASSION. We encourage you to speak with your child about the meaning of compassion and ways to demonstrate compassion both at school and in the community.
