Eagle Volleyball Clinics
For any rising 9th-12th grader who is interested in trying out for volleyball next year, there will be an interest meeting held on Monday, April 8th at 3:15 in Coach Lauren’s room (Denver Campus, lower building room 129). There will also be an interest meeting in Lincolnton on Wednesday, April 10th at 3:15 in the HS gym. This meeting is for the players only. There you will receive information on summer workouts, camps, and tryouts. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please fill out this form so the coaches can forward you the information. If you have any questions please contact Coach Lauren or Coach Shane.
The Ambassador Program steering committee had its first meeting this week. You are invited to join and continue the development with this dynamic group. We are looking for more Engaged Eagles to be active and positive ambassadors for Lincoln Charter. Consider joining the fun! You may make a lifelong friend, and of course, you will share your Eagle pride. This is also a great way to accumulate your expected volunteer hours! Have you earned your 30 hours? Lincoln Charter challenges each family to volunteer for 30 hours over the course of the school year. We are adding more families that have met and/or exceeded their 30 hours: Blackwell, Comesky, Houser, Lee, Plemmons and Rice families. Congratulations!
There are numerous volunteer opportunities during the month of April. Steaming the Grad’s Gowns is next Monday. Also, don’t forget about the Spring Festival, Ambassador Program, EOG’s and setting up and taking down three graduations ceremonies. Find Information Here

Elementary Box Top Contest – April 1st – 5th
Box Tops are a great way to earn cash for LCS classrooms! Please clip your unexpired Box Tops and send them into school with your child April 1st – 5th. You may use the form sent home or just send them in a Ziplock bag. Extra copies of the form will be available with your homeroom teacher if needed.
Three elementary homerooms will be announced as winners and will receive a Slushie Party!
Chick Fil A Spirit Night, Denver Location – Wednesday, April 10th 4:00 – 8:00 pm
Please join us at the Chick Fil A, Denver location for Spirit Night. The special is available for MOBILE orders only, and you can drive thru, do curbside, or eat inside. You may even get to see some of our awesome LCS teachers there working shifts to raise money for LCS!
Elementary Spring Parties – Friday, April 12th, 9:30am-11:00am
Spring Parties are scheduled for Friday, April 12th for K-5 classes. Your Room Parent will communicate more details and volunteer needs. Anyone arriving before 9:30 am will be asked to wait in a separate waiting room to prevent distraction for the students, teachers, and room parents.

Jump Rope for Heart
Thank you to all LCS staff and students for making the annual Jump Rope For Heart fundraiser a great success. Our school raised over $9,000 during a six-day period. This is a great accomplishment and everyone’s help is appreciated.
A big shout out to Cameron Palmer who deserves a special note of thanks and recognition, as he raised over $1,200 himself!
Middle School Moments
Save the Date
On April 11th all rising 9th-grade students will travel to Kate’s Skate for the annual Rising 9th Grade Info Session. This fun and exciting event is a day for current 8th-grade students to celebrate their time in middle school and begin to prepare for high school. Students will have time to skate, eat lunch, and hear from current high school students about the Lincoln Charter High School Experience. There is not a charge for this event. All students are registered.
Families are invited to attend the 9th Grade Info. Session on April 25th at 7:00 pm in Machado Gymnasium. This session will include information from the administration and academic counselors to help you prepare for the transition to High School.
Mix-It-Up Lunch will take place on Wednesday 4/3. The next music theme is “Hits from the 80s.” We encourage students to dress in their best 80’s attire!
End-of-Year MAP testing will be April 24th and 25th. This will give us clear data for our final push towards EOGs.
MS Semi-Formal – Once Upon A Time

High School Happenings
Paint the Mile – Friday, April 26th
Registration for Paint the Mile is now available on MPP. Leadership Institute sponsors this service event as a form of advocacy against domestic violence. This is a color run type event and participating students are asked to wear a white t-shirt. The colors used in the run represent 4 different groups of domestic violence victims: children, women, men and the elderly. Funds raised will benefit The Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse and Child Advocacy Center. The cost of registration is $10.00 per student. Students are required to complete the registration and pay the $10.00 fee on MPP by Monday, April 22nd.
All high school students will attend a Paint the Mile assembly on April 12th. Speakers include the Executive Director of the Child Advocacy Center and a local Counselor who will speak about healthy relationships.

Registration for rising 10th graders will take place tomorrow.

Host Family Opportunity
Host families are needed for Spanish exchange students coming in July to our area: Marc, 15, Sergi, 16, and Mireia, 17. Host half a month or the full month.
