Friday – Party and Shop! Spring Parties from 10:00-11:00! Sales from 8:00-11:00. Book Fair break down will begin promptly at 11:00.

Summer Driver’s Ed
The NC Driving School will be holding two Driver’s Ed classes at Lincoln Charter this summer. There will be a class at the Denver campus from June 3-June 7 and one at the Lincolnton campus from July 22-July 26. Both classes are from 8:00 am-2:30 pm. LCS will NOT provide transportation between campuses for Driver’s Ed. Registration will be limited to 50 students. Sign up and registration is open on My Payments Plus. Students must be 14 ½ years old on the first day of driver’s ed class in order to be eligible. Contact Jessica Kelly (Lincolnton) or Lois Strain (Denver) with any questions.
Coffee & Conversation
All families are invited to join us for Coffee & Conversation with members of Administration. These sessions are an opportunity for you to meet with your student’s building administrator over coffee and light refreshments. We look forward to conversations to strengthen our community. Please RSVP by completing this form.
No Uniform Tuesday
Purchase your No Uniform Day pass on MPP and take advantage of the opportunity to come to school out of dress code. No Uniform Tuesday passes must meet HS Dress code requirements. Funds raised support Lincoln Charter initiatives.

LCS has switched our visitor and student sign in/out system to LobbyGuard. This increased security feature requires all guests and visitors to scan their state-issued ID each time they enter a building. Please be sure to bring your ID every time! This includes when you are coming in to sign out your student early for an appointment.

Eagle Volleyball Clinics
For any rising 9th-12th grader who is interested in trying out for volleyball next year, there will be an interest meeting held on Monday, April 8th at 3:15 in Coach Lauren’s room (Denver Campus, lower building room 129). There will also be an interest meeting in Lincolnton on Wednesday, April 10th at 3:15 in the HS gym. This meeting is for the players only. There you will receive information on summer workouts, camps, and tryouts. If you are unable to attend the meeting, please fill out this form so the coaches can forward you the information. If you have any questions please contact Coach Lauren or Coach Shane.
The Ambassador program has a steering committee and they met this week. Parents are still invited to be involved in developing the program. We are looking for more Engaged Eagles to be an active and positive ambassador for Lincoln Charter. The Ambassadors will be presented at the New Student Registration Night on April 11th from 4:00-7:00 pm. Consider joining the fun, and you may make a lifelong friend. There are many volunteer opportunities for the month of April. This week there are a few volunteer openings for the DinoMite Book Fair. The Friday after we return from spring break is the Spring Festival, so consider volunteering and enjoying the evening with your Eagle family. More information.
The week of May 13th -17th is a busy week of EOG volunteer test proctoring. This may not be your first choice for a volunteer position, but it is one of the most important. The state mandates that there is one proctor in each classroom. Please consider proctoring for at least one test. There are morning and afternoon testing sessions. Every single classroom needs a volunteer proctor, with each day needing up to 40 volunteers! The month of May is your last chance to reach your challenge of 30 volunteer hours for your family

Summer Day Campers will need to register online using My Payments Plus. Please click on the Summer Camp link. A drop down menu will ask you to choose registration for Summer Day Camp at our Denver or Lincolnton campus. When you register for Summer Day Camp, the form that needs to be signed electronically will pop up. Important: Your camper will not be able to attend camp until the registration is paid and these forms are signed. Please purchase the Summer Day Camp $25 non-refundable registration fee and follow the prompts. SDC will accept registrations all summer long. For t-shirt ordering, planning, and staffing purposes, it helps us greatly if you please meet our May 3rd registration deadline for SDC. We will not be able to guarantee the correct size t-shirt if you register later, but we will do our best. Thanks for your help with this! Attention All Artists
It’s time to put your artistic talents to use for the LCS Track Attack T-Shirt Contest!
LCS needs a t-shirt design for this year’s Track Attack, and your design could be the winner! The design should be created on 8.5 X 11 sheet of white paper. Use only black marker or pen and please fill up as much of the paper as possible.
All entries must be turned in by Friday, April 12th. Turn your design into either the ES Office or the MS/HS Office. A $50 cash prize will be given to the winner. Be creative and have fun! The winning design will be announced at the Spring Festival on April 26th.
The PTO Nomination Committee presents the following nominees for 2019-2021 PTO Board. A link to each candidate’s bio will be in the next Charter Chatter. Online voting will be from April 22 through May 3.

Middle School Moments
Rising 9th Grade Info Session
April 23rd all rising 9th-grade students will participate in our Rising 9th Grade Info Session. This session will take place on campus and will incorporate some team building and fun as well as a Q & A panel from current HS students. The session will run from 9:00 am -12:00 pm and will include lunch. There is no charge for this event.
Families are invited to attend the 9th Grade Info Session on April 23rd at 6:00 pm in the MPR. This session will include information from the administration and academic counselor to help you prepare for the transition to High School.
