¡Bienvenid@s!

Welcome to my Spanish class! This year we'll be covering grammar and vocabulary, but we'll also spend some time getting to know more about the different Spanish-speaking countries and their cultures. ¡Tengo muchas ganas de conoceros a todos y espero que tengamos un año maravilloso!

I was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina and later went to the College of Charleston in South Carolina. After several semesters of study abroad in Spain, I finally moved there in January 2008. I spent the past almost 4 years living in Seville, in Spain's southern region of Andalusia working as a primary school bilingual teacher. Spain has a lot of wonderful things to offer: flamenco music and dance, Iberian jamón, and of course fútbol (soccer... go World Cup Champions!)... But the thing I missed most while there was Target!
