Chelsea Watson

Welcome! My name is Chelsea Watson and I will be teaching third grade this year. I previously taught art here at the Denver campus last school year. I had a lot of fun getting to work with every student in our entire school, but I am ready to have my own classroom and to get to know my students on a much more individualized basis! I graduated from UNCC in 2010 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. I have experience in Kindergarten, first grade, and co-taught with Katie James for the second half of last school year in third grade.

I grew up in Huntersville and actually attended Lake Norman Charter School the very first year it was opened for all four years of middle school.  I have plenty of experience and background in what charter schools are all about, and that is why I am so grateful to be apart of the LCS family! Over the summer I moved to Davidson and absolutely fell in love with the area. I enjoy working out, watching baseball, and Panthers football!

I feel very blessed to be working with Sandra Helms this year. She has been with the school for 16 years and her knowledge and experience have already proved to be a tremendous help to me this year! We both believe in differentiating to meet all of our students' needs, therefore, she will be spending a great deal of time working in small groups with students who need support and/or enrichment.
