My mother told me, "Get your teaching certificate!  You'll always be able to get a good job!"  and, of course, she was right!  I earned my BS in Education from Georgia State University in Atlanta many, many, many years ago, taught for one year, took off for 23 years as a flight attendant!, then came back to, yes, teaching school!

This is my 9th year teaching with Lincoln Charter, my 3rd year as Middle School Art teacher, my first year teaching High School Art 1, and I LOVE IT!!!!

AND, if you're interested in WORLD TRAVEL (and who isn't?) this year's EXCELLENT ADVENTURE will take us to ENGLAND AND FRANCE!!

We tour London!  Big Ben! Buckingham Palace! The Beatles!  then cross the Channel to Normandy....you know how moving it is for people who have studied WWII to see where it happened?  Then on to the amazing Mont. St. Michel, the great cathedral of Chartres, and the City of Light...PARIS!

There's a reason they say, "How you gonna keep 'em down on the farm after they've seen Paree?!"  I've been there four times already and can't wait to go back! The students I took to Barcelona, Spain and Italy will tell you...these trips are life-changing.

We'll be leaving for 10 days around June 21, 2012, just after graduation.  What a great graduation gift for seniors!  The trip is open to High School and rising 9th graders (and family!) I do reserve the right to decide if I don't think a student is mature enough to travel overseas yet, to make sure everyone has a fantastic experience!  Let's GO, Eagles!
