Megan Plemmons

My name is Megan Plemmons. I am stationed at the Denver Elementary Campus on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

I am an Exceptional Children's Teacher for grades K-2.
I also manage all Section 504 Accommodations Plans for students K-12 at both Denver Campuses.
In addition, I am also the chairperson for the Referral Team at the Denver Elementary Campus. Students who are having difficulty with academics/behavioral skills, may be referred to this team by teachers or parents. Students will undergo interventions that are determined by the team for a minumum of 4-6 weeks. Some students may benefit from a psychological evaluation, to determine qualifications for the Exceptional Children's Program.

Attended Elon University for my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary and Special Education
Attended Walden University for my Master's of Science degree in Elementary Reading and Literacy
I have been a resident of Denver, NC since 2005, when I began working at Lincoln Charter School.
I have taught in several NC public schools in the area of special education, in a variety of settings.
I have worked as a Case Manager for children and adults with developmental disabilities, in the Behavioral Healthcare field.
I have worked as a Performance Evaluator for an online university, for their Education Department.
I have two young children, and currently work Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so that I can spend more time with them before they begin school.
