Vanita Evans

Welcome back!

Hi!  My name is Vanita Evans and I am the Computer/Technology Instructor for Lincoln Charter School, Middle & High School campus in Denver, NC. I am also the LCS Huskins technology instructor via Gaston College as well as adjunct instructor for GC at the Dallas campus on Tues & Thurs evenings. I live in Kings Mountain, NC with my husband and 2 'use to be' homeless, dogs - Rusty and Jumper.

I sponsor the LCS Jr. Beta Club (7th - 9th)  and along with Wanda White, Co-Sponsor the Beta Club (10th - 12th).

 Education:

• Summa Cum Laude graduate of Belmont Abbey College with a bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Education
• Magna Cum Laude graduate of Appalachian State University with a master's degree (M.A.) in IST / Education Media. (Information Systems Technology).
• Began teaching career at Gaston College teaching Continuing Ed and tutoring students at Belmont Abbey.

During undergrad:

• Vice President of Student Council,
• President of Delta Epsilon Sigma ΔΕΣ (all academic fields),

Hobbies/Interest:

• Love of outdoors (preferably the coast) & road trips (exploring history - esp NC history)

• The JFK era, early 20^th century era (roaring '20's), Titantic
