On Friday, February 24th, Mr. William (Keegan) Storrs, the current NC Charter TOY, visited our Denver campus to see first hand the amazing facility and learn about the opportunities we provide and the special traditions that LCS calls our own. Trish Amos, a finalist for this designation, was able to invite Mr. Storrs to our campus after participating in the Teacher of the Year selection process.

During his tour he visited multiple MS classrooms including 7th grade Math, Social Studies, ELA, Cultural Studies, Chess and Intro To Tech Theatre. He was able to sit in a full 6th grade Math lesson, eat lunch with 6th graders and participate in a 6th grade Spanish class. He was incredibly impressed with our student work displays, our active and engaged classrooms and our multitude of elective options.Mrs. Amos stated, "This was an opportunity to highlight a campus that I love and consider family.

When asked what makes us great, I specifically highlighted our intentionality with making connections this year." Thank you to our team for such a successful connection to NC Charter TOY!
