Two of our Lincoln Charter Theater clubs presented major productions in the first semester. Both were met with rave reviews from Eagle Nation.

The first performance of the season was "A Christmas Carol", presented by the Lincolnton Campus Middle School Drama Club.  They partnered with The Little Theater of Cherryville for two nights of Christmas (foreboding and) cheer.  The theater staff shared how impressed they were with the work ethic and heart in the performance.  Congratulations to Director Angie Dolan and the whole cast!

Just before exams began, high school theater students at the Denver Campus presented a blacklight version of Alice in Wonderland.  Though the opening and closing scenes were as one might expect, everything that occurred "down the rabbit hole" was lit in blacklight.  The cast wore colorful reflective costumes and make up to create a one-of-a-kind experience for theater-goers.  Mr. Jarrod Bennet directed, and it is worth noting that high school administrator Dr. Shannon Clemons played the role of the Queen of Hearts.  There's just something thrilling and terrifying about one's administrator shouting "off with your head", even if it is directed at other fictional characters on stage!

Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to make these productions the huge successes they were. You are integral parts of the Lincoln Charter Experience.
