PTO will be providing a catered breakfast with a surprise gift tomorrow morning.

The raffle winners from our last Box Top Contest have been decided! A pizza party and No Uniform Day is awarded to Mrs. Sellers’ kindergarten class. A popsicle treat and No Uniform Day was won by both Mrs. Waddle’s second grade and Mrs. Young’s fourth grade classes. Please look out for information from the teachers to communicate when those days will be. Thank you to everyone who has sent in Box Tops this year. We have raised close to $4,000 for our school! Every clip counts!
Teacher & Student Club Grant Requests
Unused funds from our Teacher Reimbursement accounts have been pooled and the PTO is accepting Grant requests from teachers and school clubs. This is a great way for teachers to get reimbursed for money spent in excess of their teacher funds, for a desired future purchase, or larger ticket item/project. It is also available for student clubs to use for reimbursement of club purchases. For more information or to submit a Grant request, click here. Requests are due this week Friday.

6th and 7th grade students will soon be taking the Iowa Algebra Aptitude Test. The Iowa test is one of criteria used for placement in the compacted math courses. This particular exam is a powerful predictor of a student’s future successes in algebra.
In addition to the Iowa, there are 4 other criteria that are evaluated for math placement: Final math grade from the preceding year; EOG scores; MAP scores; and current math course placement. Math placement will be determined and communicated to parents as soon as all the data has been collected.

Graduation Cords and Honors
Seniors that meet certain criteria will wear cords and medals during commencement. Cords will be billed through MPP and must be paid in full for the final diploma and transcript to be distributed.
