Global Ambassadors Home

Are you ready for a summer of adventure, learning, and unforgettable encounters? An important part of the Lincoln Charter Experience is providing opportunities for students beyond the walls of our school.  Through our Global Ambassadors Program, we encourage staff members to develop local and global travel experiences for our students, and find opportunities to create connections to academic goals that are relevant and meaningful. As early as middle school, students at LCS are invited to learn about our trips and consider whether one may be right for them!

Benefits of Travel:

  • Cultural Immersion: Traveling abroad exposes students to diverse cultures, languages, and traditions. This firsthand experience fosters cultural empathy and global awareness, helping students appreciate and RESPECT differences.

  • Enhanced Learning: Engaging with history, art, and local customs provides a unique, real-world context that enriches our focus on RIGOROUS ACADEMICS. Visiting historical sites, museums, and landmarks transforms textbook learning into vivid, tangible experiences.

  • Language Skills: Practicing a foreign language in its native environment accelerates language acquisition and builds confidence. Students gain practical language skills that can enhance students’ PREPAREDNESS for future academic and career opportunities.

  • Personal Growth: Navigating new environments, meeting people from different backgrounds, and overcoming challenges abroad encourages independence, adaptability, and problem-solving skills. These experiences contribute to personal development and self-reliance.

  • Global Perspective: Exposure to various perspectives helps students develop EMPATHY and a broader worldview. Understanding global issues and different societal norms prepares students to be informed and engaged global citizens.

  • Friendship and Networking: Traveling with peers and locals fosters lasting friendships and valuable connections. These relationships can provide support, collaboration, and networking opportunities in the future.

What Students Can Learn:

  • Cultural Nuances: From local traditions and festivals to everyday life, students gain insights into how different communities function and celebrate.

  • Historical Context: Visiting landmarks and historical sites allows students to experience history firsthand and understand its impact on contemporary society.

  • Geographical Awareness: Exploring diverse landscapes and environments helps students appreciate the natural beauty and ecological diversity of the planet.

  • Global Challenges: Understanding global issues like sustainability, economics, and social issues through direct observation and interaction provides a more comprehensive perspective.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Working in diverse teams and communicating across cultures improves social skills and enhances teamwork abilities.

Join us for a summer that promises not only adventure but also meaningful growth and learning. Our Student Travel Program is more than just a trip—it’s an opportunity to expand horizons, gain invaluable experiences, and create memories that will last a lifetime. Pack your bags and get ready to explore the world!
