Pink Out

  • Pink Out Logo and three photos of staff and students wearing pink

Lincoln Charter School proudly participates in Breast Cancer Awareness Month through its annual Pink Out event, a spirited tradition dedicated to raising awareness, supporting survivors and warriors, and fundraising for the Go Jen Go Foundation. Each year, students and staff are encouraged to dress in pink from head to toe, creating a vibrant and unified show of support. While the specific activities may vary, Pink Out consistently offers a mix of service opportunities, advocacy efforts, and engaging fundraisers. In years past, students have participated in interactive awareness lessons, survivor celebrations, and creative fundraising events such as pink hair streaks, raffles, and themed treats—all fostering a strong sense of community and purpose.

Traditionally, students have been able to contribute in a variety of ways, from purchasing pink pom-poms and decorating lockers to engaging in penny wars or nominating teachers and principals for fun challenges. Special events like the Pink Fire Truck visit, survivor loop, and pep rallies have been highlights, bringing the school together in a powerful display of encouragement and solidarity. Additionally, social media engagement encourages students and staff to share who they wear pink for, further spreading awareness beyond the school walls. While specific events may change from year to year, the heart of Pink Out remains the same: a commitment to raising awareness, honoring those affected by breast cancer, and supporting organizations commited to finding a cure and helping survivors.
