Engaged Eagles is Lincoln Charter School’s family volunteer program designed to connect parents, guardians, and family members with opportunities to support our students, teachers, and school community.

Our volunteers make a difference every day by helping create memorable experiences for our Eagles. Whether you have one hour to give or can volunteer throughout the school year, there is a place for you at Lincoln Charter.

The Family Volunteer Goal

Each Lincoln Charter family is encouraged to contribute 30 volunteer hours each school year (July 1 through June 30).

The 30-hour goal is a family goal, meaning all adult family members may work together to reach this goal. For example, one family member may volunteer 20 hours and another may volunteer 10 hours, or several family members may contribute smaller amounts throughout the year.

To help us recognize every volunteer and accurately track the impact of our program, each adult volunteer should log their own volunteer hours individually in ParentSquare.

Every hour matters, and every volunteer contribution helps strengthen our Lincoln Charter community.

How to Become an Engaged Eagle 

Getting involved is easy!

1. Join your campus Engaged Eagles ParentSquare group
   Stay connected with volunteer opportunities, event updates, and requests for support.

2. Choose a volunteer opportunity
   Volunteer opportunities will be shared through ParentSquare throughout the school year.
3. Serve our school community
   Give your time and talents to support students, staff, and school events.
4. Log your volunteer hours in ParentSquare
   After volunteering, please record your hours in the ParentSquare app. Each volunteer should log their own hours using their individual account.

Ways to Volunteer

There are many ways to support Lincoln Charter School, including:

• Classroom & office support
• End of year events, EOG’s & Field Day assistance
• Teacher appreciation events
• PTO events
• Athletic events and concessions
• Fine Arts performances, concessions, and set building
• School traditions and celebrations
• Book Fairs, Career Day and Special events

Recording Your Volunteer Hours

Tracking volunteer hours helps us recognize our volunteers and measure the impact of family involvement while planning future volunteer opportunities. 

To log your volunteer hours in the ParentSquare app:

• Tap More.
• Select Volunteer Hours.
• Tap the + in the upper right corner.
• Select the month, activity, and duration.
• Add optional notes and tap Save.

Please remember to log your volunteer hours after each event or activity. By logging your own hours, you'll have access to a personal record of your volunteer service while helping us recognize volunteers and measure the impact of the Engaged Eagles program.

Who can be an Engaged Eagle?

Engaged Eagles includes parents, guardians, grandparents, and adult family members who want to support Lincoln Charter School.

Can more than one family member volunteer?

Yes! We encourage parents, guardians, grandparents, and other adult family members to participate. Since the Engaged Eagles goal is a family goal, multiple family members may contribute toward the 30-hour challenge. Each volunteer should log their own hours in ParentSquare using their individual account. Grandparents without a ParentSquare account may have their hours recorded through a parent or guardian’s account. 

What volunteer opportunities count toward Engaged Eagles hours?

Volunteer hours should be completed for Lincoln Charter School sponsored events, activities, and programs.

Can I volunteer if I only have an hour?

Absolutely! Many volunteer opportunities take only an hour or two. Whether you volunteer once or throughout the year, every contribution makes a difference. 

Do I need to log my volunteer time immediately? 

We encourage volunteers to log their hours soon after each activity while the details are still fresh. Logging throughout the year also helps us accurately recognize our volunteers and measure the impact of the Engaged Eagles program. 

Do my student's service hours count toward Engaged Eagles?

No. Student service hours and Engaged Eagles volunteer hours are separate programs. Student service hours are tracked through x2VOL as part of Lincoln Charter’s Learn. Serve. Engage. program.

I cannot volunteer during the school day. Can I still participate?

Yes! There are many ways to support our school community through events, activities, and opportunities that may take place outside of regular school hours.
