We are a grassroots Charter school that was founded in 1998 by parents, community leaders, and service-minded individuals in Lincoln County - a group who sought to create a college-prep option in this area. It’s a credit to their vision and foresight that we have grown to be the largest non-virtual charter school in North Carolina, and we are proud to have served families for over 26 years from 13 districts across two campuses.

During this time, we have developed key traditions that have become a vital part of the Lincoln Charter Experience, creating lasting memories and deepening our sense of unity and pride. Like many schools, we celebrate time-honored traditions such as Homecoming, Prom, and Senior Nights, but we also take pride in the unique traditions that set Lincoln Charter apart. Events like Pink Out, Track Attack, and our cultural celebrations bring our community together in meaningful ways, reinforcing our values and strengthening the bonds among students, families, and staff.
